Not what i expected. July 27, 2008 When I got 100 dollars for my birthday, i was extremely exited. I took a little peek on my amazon personalized recommendations and i saw this. I took a quick look at the toy, went to the website and i adored it. I love simulation games. This toy is absolutely cute, but its not worth the fun. I cant believe i wasted money on this. The game isn't fun, if you are around older than 9. You can do almost nothing in the game and i got bored of it within 2 weeks. I would suggest you get this for your 4-8 year-olds. They should probably adore it, and the game is good for kids that are starting to use the computer. They use pictures instead of reading(I personally prefer reading) And the controls are easy. If you have a kid thats above the age of 9, Don't get this. I suggest you get a wii instead. If you can't afford it,get a DS.If you have both of those or can't afford none of them, Get a game called Toontown. Toontown is much better than this piece of garbage, it is much more interesting and fun.
epets and good service too! January 2, 2008 This is a good product for little cost. It was tops on my daughters list of gifts, and she really has been enjoying it. Better than the other on-line website pets because no advertising or additional pressure to buy more stuff. However, my daughter says it takes a long time to load. Amazon was great when they sold me this product...the first one seemed to get lost by the post office, so they immediately sent out a new one free of charge. They actually sent out the wrong one, but when I contacted them they refunded my money, no questions asked. Great service amazon! That's why I shop with you!
Puh___LEEZEEEE! Don't waste your money! December 29, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This toy is a complete waste of money. My 8 year old wanted this so badly. On Christmas she opened it and WAS SO EXCITED. After seven hours of trying to get on the site to log in.... we found that the "code" was invalid and would not allow her to log-in her pet (the code had "already been used"). We bought this from a reputable, well-known company and it should have been valid, but there is no contact information on the site to rectify this issue, so we are out the funds and she is upset. We have a very expensive, useless 5" stuffed animal.
Her sister, who also received one, lost interest after a one hour and 45 minute hassle of trying to NAME the animal (only one name can be used per animal on the entire website--so out of 1,000,000 people who bought this, all names are exhausted....) What a crock!
Anyway - the site is horribly slow, the naming is bad, and my kids are disappointed. Save your money and get a Webkinz. They stand behind a quality product. This is a wasteful attempt by a company to reproduce and profit from an idea of an already successful product by a company that did it right. I regret this purchase completely.
very cute December 28, 2007 Very cute, my grandson wanted to get right on the computer and register it and play online
Website experience is worthless December 27, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got an epet for my 6 year old for Christmas, and convinced her that it was just as good as a Webkinz (which is what she wanted). That assurance deteriorated rapidly when trying to register and get into the website. Despite having the fastest DSL available, it took minutes for each page to load, and the audio skipped and stalled. It took about 3o minutes to finally get registered and my daughter had lost interest long before. We are returning the toy. If you are willing to pay $10 for a cute stuffed animal, then fine. But if your expectations include a fun online play experience for your child, skip this toy.
