I read this book and also saw a few of the episodes of Cesar Millan's show on National Geographic and together these have produced an understanding of dogs like no other book or training method. I am an experienced dog owner and my current dog is behaving much better now that I understand how to be a calm and assertive pack leader. I wish I could go back to my former dogs and apologize for the confusing messages I gave them over the many years they devoted so much love to me. I am so grateful to Cesar Millan (and to Oprah who had him on her show) for improving my life with my beloved dog.

I grew up w/family pets all my life..and we always came accross the troubled ones..not realizing it was the humans who were causing the trouble..not the dogs..I've read the book..and can honestly say it's changed my life..(and I don't have a dog-yet)but now w/a family of my own..I'm looking forward to owning a dog! I've used this type of phsycology & energy w/my kids..even w/my Husband!..staying calm & assertive! and it has completely changed my Life! Thnx Cesar Millan! You're Truly My Hero..not Only for me..but for America! one dog at a time!

Excellent book - I don't even own a dog but I found the "human psychology" of dog ownership interesting. The book is well written, easy to read with lots of personal information on the "Dog Whisperer".

What a difference this book has made in our lives. We have two dogs that are good dogs but now they are turning into great dogs. Reading this book made me realize the commitment I owe my dogs!
