A must read for anyone who is considering buying, rescuing or adopting a dog. And/or who has a dog with behavioral issues! I will never think the same way again about my needs and those of my animals!

Ingenious! July 20, 2006 M. Bye (Sudbury, ON CA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is one amazing man...gifted is simply an understatement. His book basically outlines in greater detail his first season's series with National Geographic and gives you a much better understanding of Ceasar Millan's personal history. The skills he provides are common sense and easy to employ. We have used many of his tricks with our new puppy and we receive comments on how well behaved she is....she's only 4 months old and has been welcomed back into the homes of all of our friends and family. This is an easy read and is extremely interesting for all animal lovers!

Very enlightening July 14, 2006 Ms. Sue (Pittsburg, PA) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
This book will definitely give you a better understanding of why your dog is doing whatever it is he's doing. And some of the problems you will be able to correct after reading the book. Others you will have the necessary knowledge of how not to encourage the behavior (which is often 50% of the problem)and maintain a holding pattern until you can locate an experienced trainer. The agressive problems really do need the experienced trainer, but even here you have enough information to better understand the aggressiveness and the encouragement that with the right trainer, rehabilatation is possible. Many people will read this book and say this is merely a philosophy on dog handling. To those people I say, "That's how all good patterns begin. It's the people who read it and practice it that make it a fact."
