Cesar Millan - kool August 7, 2006 Cory Robert Flynn (Atlanta, GA) I have yet to read this book because I am still watching the season DVD's that I recieved along with this book. But if this is 1/2 as good and informational as the DVD's, it will still be 5 stars.
Book and series sucks.... August 7, 2006 L. delpozo (New York) 17 out of 45 found this review helpful
Unless you are too lazy to actually train your dog or if you ignore signs of stress in your dog like he does. He is a [..]. He simply causes the animals to shut down and fear humans. He hopes you don't know enough about animal behaviour to see the duress he is causing the dogs. Trainers know better. He is opening the door to other behavior problems in the dogs. If you want a real relationship with your dog... try doing what Ceasar has not done: read some updated literature on behaviorism and understand that there is no cookie cutter training method for the entire world of dogs. Every breed is different...every dog is different. If you want to invest in a really good book on animal behaviorism then purchase "The Other End of the Leash" by Patricia McConnel. She knows what she is talking about and does not use the old school methods he does.
All Hail to Cesar! August 7, 2006 Rottiemom424 (Georgia) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you have ever watched the National Geographic hit show "Dog Whisperer", then this book is a MUST read! From beginning to end it is a page turner!
Not well written August 7, 2006 Jennifer Perez (Brooklyn NY) 15 out of 31 found this review helpful
Although this book offers a nice insight into the way your dog thinks it was poorly written and boring. It reads more like a memior than it does a how to book. If you are interested in knowing a little bit more about your dog and A LOT more about Cesar Millan then go ahead and buy it.
Very good if you have not watched the series August 7, 2006 T. Brackney (Kansas City, MO United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
A very good book especially if you have not watched the series much. Nice background information on Cesar and really great advise on handling your dog and perhaps yourself. I recommend this book to any dog owner as a must have on your book shelf. However, I can not give it 5 stars. I reserve that for the best of the best.
