Worked better than local Doctors September 20, 2008 Nature Girl (Madison, CT) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book was a life saver!!! We had brought our son to several Doctors, tried some medications and were getting no where. What finally helped us and our son was the social worker at my sons' school, and this book. If you follow what this book tells you to do to get through full blown panic attacks and anxiety, it will work. I had bought several books before this one, that were absolutely worthless. This is the only book you need to learn helpful techniques to work through your anxiety. This book changed our sons life. He is a happy, healthy boy again. He feels empowered, because now when he feels a panic attack coming on he has coping strategies that work for him.
excellent book September 14, 2008 Corinne Pearson (NYC) The axiety and phobia book. Im still reading it. Its a great reassurance book. Keeps it in your mind that when your having anxiety and feel like your gonna die.. your actually not. And its perfectly normal and healthy for your body to do those things. I love the book so far!

I have found the Anxiety Phobia Workbook to be an outstanding tool in working with young people ages 12-18. I have used it in small groups, and individually. Depending on the age and maturity of the client, the workbook guides an individual to take responsibility and ownership of the diagnosis, and the specific part they play in the healing of this complex disorder. extremely helpful August 29, 2008 D. Hoffman (jerseyshore) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found this book to be easy to read and extremely helpful. After one read-through, I ripped out the pages I wanted to refer to on a regular basis: deep-breathing techniques, peaceful scene visualizations, lists of positive affirmations, among others. I read through these each morning and night. This book, coupled with daily exercise, meditation, good nutrition, and "me" time, has made a vast difference in my life.
