Very Informative May 30, 2007 Katherine Myers (Cincinnati, OH USA) I found that this book has lots of descriptive pictures and answers all questions that I had about the breed. The book elaborates on thorough history of the breed, standards and care, including the care of an elderly Doberman. This is a very helpful handbook about the Doberman breed.
Beautiful! March 9, 2007 L. H. Pitts (Upstate SC) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great book for everyone who is thinking about owning a Dobie, or is already an owner. It is written beautifully, and is very informative. It's the best Doberman book on the market at this time. BUY IT!
The Doberman Pinscher March 9, 2006 L. A. Goddard (South Africa) 0 out of 19 found this review helpful
Nicely presented. I didn't appreciate the European/German dogs being slated so openly. This is a German dog after all. Even the fact that the Americans can't give the breed the correct spelling 'Dobermann' just shows how arrogant they are. The fact that the Americans have watered down the temperament is so sad. I have a bitch of Italian/Yugoslavian bloodlines and I personally don't know how you could want to possible tone her down. So... I would rather not have bought it. Soured the whole thing for me.
Thorough Coverage September 3, 2005 Laura Kuzak Srsa (Hinckley Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Having never owned a doberman before and recently rescueing a three year old, this book was enormously helpful. What a wonderful breed of dog!

It's a good book, great info but let down by the black and white pictures.
