Gift May 8, 2008 Was bought for my daughter in law, she said it was another great book by James Patterson...
enjoy April 29, 2008 I always enjoy Patterson mysteries-this is no exception. get a tall cool drink, relax, and read.
He's Done It Again! April 15, 2008 This most recent addition to the Alex Cross series, Double Cross, was well worth waiting for. It had all the twists and turns that we have come to expect from James Patterson and a few surprises. It is fun watching Alex balance his personal life with that of his professional life so that you get to see both sides of the man. That makes him more believable and you root for him all the more.
Is James Patterson losing his edge? April 12, 2008 I have long since been a fan of James Patterson and i have read almost all of his novels, i even collect them. But i can't help but notice that his books are becoming more and more superficial. I don't know if it's because he is putting them out too fast that he doesn't spend time with in depth research. Double Cross was entertaining but just that. I only bought it cos i am a james patterson fan and keep hoping that he would redeem himself with subsequent books. I will keep waiting.
Terrible Terrible Terrible!!! April 7, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The quality of Patterson's work has dropped dramatically over the last couple of years, and with this one I think he's jumped the shark. I could not believe this was the work of a professional author. It seems more like the first effort of a junior high student. The plot is trite, the characters cartoonish and the prose is amateurish. I am sorry to say that this is the first time I had to put down a book in disgust, unfinished. Frankly, I don't care how this book ends- I've already lost an hour of my life that I will never get back while reading the first 100-odd pages.
